"Comprised of smuggled footage and uncensored interviews, DANGEROUS ACTS gives audiences a front row seat to a resistance movement as it unfolds both on the stage and in the streets. As the members of the Free Theatre confront the choice of either repression at home or exile in the US and the UK, DANGEROUS ACTS reconfirms our belief that the power of art and hope can indeed change the world." - IMDb
I collaborated on this long-term project with the talented team of Great Curve Films over the course of several years, contributed backstage footage shot in Belarus and around the world.
I also filmed Belarus Free Theatre group during exile in Chicago and New York City in 2011, helped with translations in post-production and provided organizational support.
After release, the film received multiple awards and in 2015 was nominated for Emmy in the category of Outstanding Arts and Culture Programming.
