I worked as Theatre Manager and Communications Coordinator for a prominent theatre and political activism company from Belarus that won multiple awards around the world.
Belarus Free Theatre is an international award-winning theatre company forced out of Belarus and currently based in UK. It was founded on principles of freedom of speech and artistic expression.
Theatre's focus is on social justice, taboo zones and violation of human rights across the globe.
BFT's transnational campaigns and theatre educational programmes encourage people to find their own voice within society and to develop a deeper engagement with social and political issues.
In 2007 I joined BFT as Theatre Manager and Communications Coordinator.
Over the course of several following years I helped manage theatre's international tours and organize artistic solidarity campaigns with Belarus around the world.
I also worked as Cameraman and Editor on a documentary film project The Last, it Lasts by Nikolai Khalezin and Natalia Kaliada, shot in various countries in the European Union and Central Africa.
After being arrested, sentenced and jailed for political reasons during the 2010 presidential elections, I had to flea Belarus with other members of the Belarus Free Theatre.

To support political prisoners and their families back in Belarus, we organized a solidarity demonstration across from the embassy in New York City.
The event drew hundreds of people to the streets including theatre and film celebrities like Jude Law and Kevin Spacey.
Currently Belarus Free Theatre resides in the UK and continues performing around the world.
